Thrive Project: Lines & Contrast

I have decided to be brave again and join in on another challenge. Becky over at Farmgirl Paints is hosting The Thrive Project. She is taking a photography class and has decided to teach everyone what she is learning. This is great for me since I know nothing. I am slowly learning, but am always willing to take pointers, tips, or any advice.

This week Becky was teaching us about lines and contrast.
Here is my photo.

I took this last weekend when I took my camera out for the first time. I was pretty nervous but had a wonderful 'teacher'. She told me what she wanted me to try and I did and this is what I got. Not too bad and pretty neat, huh? The only thing I dislike is I kinda cut off my dear cousin's head a little. BUT don't you just love her lil baby bump poking thru the fence?

Amber: I know we have talked about it but I need a better understanding of it all. To me it just looks blurred.

  8. SWEET beautiful bokeh!
Bokeh is like the greatest thing about taking photos, especially if it's naturally captured!
